You may be interested to know that the new Interactive Metronome Diagnostic
program is currently undergoing standardization.  This physically and
aurally interactive PC-based tool is able to numerically quantify timing
related planning & sequencing accuracy to .5 milliseconds.  It can
accurately analyze the rhythmic aspects of musical performance and may also
be a useful tool in research aimed at investigating the relationship between
musical instruction to cognitive performance.  I am willing to provide this
new testing tool (free of charge) to music instruction related researchers
to help them more objectively quantify their findings.
