Characterization

Rubato(R) is a research and education platform for analysis and performance
of musical compositions. It consists of a frame application  Rubato.app  and
of a number of specialized modules, Rubettes and Operators, for analysis and
performance.

Rubato and its modules are continuously revised and improved. Please update
your version to keep pace with development!

About the Authors

The Rubato platform implements the mathematical music theory and performance
theory developed at the  Multimedia Lab  of the CSD at Zurich University
during a Swiss National Science Foundation grant from 1992 to 1996. The
present version of Rubato and its modules has been realized by
