American Psychological Association Minority Fellowships . . . [FND] (02.03.16)




SCOPE: The American Psychological Association is inviting applications 
for a variety of Minority Fellowships. 

DEADLINE: January 15 for the HIV/AIDS Research Fellowships, the Mental 
Health Research Fellowship, the Mental Health and Substance Abuse 
Services Fellowships, and the Predoctoral and Postdoctoral Fellowships 
in the Neurosciences. January 31 for the Mental Health Research 
Fellowship -- Dissertation Fund, February 1 for the Summer Program in 
Neurosciences Ethics and Survival, and March 15 for the Summer 
Institute on Aging.

FUNDS: Varies according to program. 

ELIGIBILITY: Applicants must have American citizenship or permanent 
residency. Degree requirements vary with fellowship. An important goal 
of the program is to increase representation of Black/African 
American, Alaskan Native, American Indian, Asian American, 
Hispanic/Latino, and Pacific Islander students within psychological 
and neurosciences. However, the program welcomes applications from all 
students, especially those interested in increasing the representation 
of underrepresented ethnic minorities in these areas, as well as 
increasing the pool of researchers and teachers whose work focuses on 
ethnic minority persons and issues. Applicants may apply for only one 
of the MFP fellowships.
