      DISCUSSION

Discussions commenced in March included the problem of avoiding surgery for
children with cerebral palsy (continuing), issues around short-term CE, and
the new Lee Sykes web site. Scope closures continued to excite interest and
the IV World Congress remained a mystery (also continuing).

In April, longer threads involved complaints about sniping and spamming, the
perennial question of how much to pay a conductor and the virtues of
head-hunting. Baljeet Jheent commenced another survey, this time to identify
centres around the world offering CE services to adults.

There was much else besides. Join in. Make your comments in the language of
your choice.

      SUMMER SCHOOLS

This is the time of year for arranging CE summer schools and summer camps.

Baljeet Jhheent has surveyed facilities on offer in the UK this summer and
found 14 places with summer CE activities on offer:

http://www.conductive-education.org.uk/html/news/summerschools.html

There are no similar lists available for other countries but a range of
announcements and programmes may be found if you search around on the CE
Website.

On the Grand Central pages, under Canada, you will find a new website for
Kamp Kiwanis, in Alberta, announcing its Fifth Annual Summer Camp. Check
down the entries for other CE centres in the country that interests you and
explore individual websites to see whether they are offering a summer school
or summer camp this year:

http://www.conductive-education.org.uk/html/links.html

Go to the CE Discussion Forum, scroll back and click on the posting of 13
March, for information on a new summer camp in Baltimore:

http://www.conductive-education.org.uk/cgi-bin/mboard/conductive/list.cgi

Four summer schools and summer camps are advertised in the CE Market Place,
two in the UK and two in the US:

http://www.conductive-education.org.uk/html/market.html

In most parts of the world it may be serendipity whether or not people find
a convenient summer facility. If you are running a summer camp or summer
school this year, or if you know of one, please announce it on the CE
Website, so that other might benefit.

      SMALL ADS

JOB CENTRE

March and April 2001 have been the busiest two months on the CE Jobs Centre
since this service began.

It's getting very competitive out there. If you're thinking of advertising,
remember the need to include some details of what you have on offer. It's no
longer enough just to say that there's a job going or a job wanted. Sell
yourself!

http://www.conductive-education.org.uk/html/job_entry.html

MARKET PLACE

Summer camps announced in Tucson, Budapest, Fareham and Boston. Adults' CE
services in five sites in the London area. Conductive Education wanted in
the North of England.

Do you have goods or services to offer?

http://www.conductive-education.org.uk/html/market_entry.html

CE CONNECTIONS

Conductive Education furniture built to order in Canada. Accommodation
available for a live-in conductor in Oxford. Other children wanted to form a
group in Tampa Bay. And Students! A group of soon-to- graduate students in
Budapest are looking for somewhere to work together. Not to mention those
looking for contacts for projects and further studies.

Are you looking for contacts or connections in the world of Conductive
Education?

http://www.conductive-education.org.uk/html/connections.html

It costs you nothing to advertise on all these sites on the Conductive
Education Website. Advertise in the language of your choice.
