JOIN ESCOM

The European Society for the Cognitive Sciences of Music (ESCOM) was
founded in December 1990 and has now hundreds of members around Europe and
in countries overseas. The purpose of the society is to encourage, support and
publish research that will increase our understanding of how music is
perceived, represented and generated.

ESCOM has arranged large international conferences every three years

TRIESTE 1991, LIEGE 1994, UPPSALA 1997

The next one will be KEELE (UK) 2000. In between these there are several other
meetings, worshops, etc. on various topics related to music.

ESCOM cooperates with the Society for Music Perception and Cognition (USA) and
the Japanese Society for Music Perception and Cognition, as well as with many
national societies.

ESCOM has launched a new Journal Musicae Scientiae, since 1997. Articles are
published either in English, French, German and abstracts are always in five
languages English, French, German, Italian, Spanish.

Membership fees include the Journal (Spring & Fall issues + an annual
special issue), and reduced prices for ESCOM meetings and publications.

Visit our WEB SITE for further information and contents of the Journal
